This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Elevated Method NYC mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

01 — Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account and enroll in the program, as well as information generated through your use of the App.

Information you provide: Full name, email address, and contact information; enrollment and payment records; assignment submissions, exam responses, and written coursework; communications sent through the in-app messaging system; health disclosures and liability waiver acknowledgments submitted at enrollment.

Information generated automatically: Login activity and session timestamps; module and course completion data; quiz and exam scores; training hours logged including observation, self-practice, and practice teaching; device type, operating system, and app version; and usage patterns within the App.

02 — How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to administer your enrollment and deliver program content, track your progress toward certification, facilitate communication between you and your assigned Master Trainer, schedule and manage in-studio training sessions, issue your Elevated Method Teacher Training Diploma upon successful completion, improve the functionality and content of the App, and comply with legal and administrative obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising purposes and we do not sell your data to third parties.

03 — How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Program administration: Your enrollment status, progress records, and contact information may be shared with your assigned Master Trainer and the Elevated Method NYC Education Department as necessary to deliver your program.

Host studios: If your in-studio training days take place at a host studio location, limited information such as your name and scheduled training dates may be shared with that studio solely for the purpose of coordinating your sessions.

Service providers: We may share data with trusted third-party technology providers who operate the App platform or learning management system on our behalf. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to Elevated Method NYC.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

04 — Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to administer your program enrollment. Following the conclusion of your program — whether through graduation, withdrawal, or termination — we may retain certain records including your enrollment history, completed coursework, exam results, and diploma issuance for a period of up to five years for administrative and verification purposes.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting the Education Department. Please note that some records may be retained where required by law or legitimate business necessity.

05 — Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include secure login protocols, encrypted data transmission, and access controls limiting who within Elevated Method NYC can view your personal data.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.

06 — Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.

Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal data, subject to any legal or administrative retention requirements.

Objection: You may object to certain types of data processing, including any future use of your data for purposes beyond program administration.

To exercise any of these rights, contact the Education Department directly. We will respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe.

07 — Children's Privacy

The App is intended solely for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information through the App, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

08 — Third-Party Links & Platforms

The App may reference or link to third-party platforms, including the learning management system used to host course content. This Privacy Policy applies only to data collected directly through the Elevated Method NYC App. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party platforms you access through or in connection with the App.

09 — Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will post the revised policy within the App and update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
